Due to the high demand for housing assistance and the limited amounted of funding available for the Housing Choice Voucher Program, Lake Metropolitan Housing Authority is not currently accepting applications for assistance.

Before a household can be considered for assistance, they must complete an application and submit it to our office.  Applications are available at the office and can be requested by phone or through e-mail.  Application forms are available in English or Spanish; assistance in completing the application for persons who communicate in other languages can be arranged and for persons requesting assistance.

LMHA does have a waiting list for assistance.  LMHA ranks its waiting list based on a variety of factors, including Lake County residency, veteran's status, domestic violence status and more.  LMHA's waiting list is not first-come, first-served.  A typical wait can be 2-3 years, and could be much longer.
