Full Time – FSS Coordinator
The Lake Metropolitan Housing Authority is seeking a full-time FSS Coordinator to facilitate the agency’s Family Self-Sufficiency Program. Conduct interviews and identify needs and barriers; develop goals and service plans; community outreach to service providers on behalf of your clients; monitor client progress for adherence to the FSS Program guidelines; prepare reports as required by the HUD field office and Lake MHA Administration.
The ideal candidate must possess strong basic math, grammar and computer skills. Proficient in interviewing, case management, community resources, records retention, organizational skills and the provision of excellent customer service is also required.
Completion of secondary education (high school or GED), plus two years of Housing Choice Voucher Program (Section 8) housing experience or experience in an area directly related or equivalent.

Full Time Maintenance Custodian
Performs unskilled grounds keeping duties (e.g., repairing signs, mowing, weeding, reseeding, fertilizing, and applying herbicides, insecticides, etc., planting greenery, trimming, sweeping walks, leaf collection, plowing, shoveling snow, salting, patching parking lots and drives); performs snow removal from public walkways during weekends and holidays as well as during work week; answers tenant emergency calls.
Obtains work orders and performs unskilled and semi-skilled labor in order to assist with the maintenance of Housing Authority properties and facilities (e.g., painting, patching, waxing, carpet cleaning, light carpentry, unclogs sinks, commodes, and tubs, replaces receptacles, light switches, and fuses, etc.
Develops, fosters, and maintains a good relationship with residents.
Answers emergency service calls after normal business hours (after 5:30 p.m. week days and any time during weekends and holidays).
Prepares vacant units for occupancy (e.g., patches and paints walls, strips and buffs floors, cleans appliances and windows, etc.).
